The Hare and The Lion Story in English with Moral
There was a cruel lion. He declared himself the king of the forest. He used to kill a large number of animals every day. The animals of the forest were terribly afraid of the lion.
One day, the animals held a meeting. They offered to send one animal each day as the lion’s food. The lion agreed. One day it was the turn of the hare. The hare reached late. He explained to the lion that another lion had detained him. The angry lion longed to see and kill his rival. The hare took the lion to a deep well. The lion looked into the well. He roared at his own reflection. His echo also roared. The lion jumped the well and drowned.
