The Hare and The Tortoise Story
There were a tortoise and a hare in a forest. The hare was very proud of his speed. He often laughed at the slow-moving tortoise. He often called the tortoise lazy and stupid. It was unbearable for the tortoise. Therefore, one day the tortoise challenged the hare to have a race The hare laughed at the challenge and readily. accepted it. A big tree at a long distance Was fixed as a victory point. It was agreed that whoever reached the tree first would be a winner. The race began early in the morning. The hare ran very fast and covered half the distance in no time. The tortoise was left far behind. The hare decided to have rest thinking the tortoise cannot catch up with him. He soon fell asleep. The tortoise continued his race slowly and steadily. Soon he reached the victory point. When the hare woke up he saw the tortoise already at the tree point. And so the proud hare lost the race. He felt ashamed of himself and repented. It is without a doubt that slow and steady wins the race.
