Motivation is the key to success
The bookish knowledge that is limited to classroom training seldom gets you far in life. You can be forced to sit through grilling classes in school every day and not absorb or retain any valuable knowledge out of it. However, if you are self-motivated towards learning, you can come out a genius even if you are home-schooled. After all, “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink”. Teachers can only make an effort to teach you but you will learn only if you want to learn.
“Practice makes a man perfect” and this is no secret. If you have a hunger to learn, then you would always be self-motivated to make the most of your surroundings. The best of teachers can have the dumbest students while the even an average teacher`s classroom houses some of the brightest students. The latter case is because of these types of students’ self-study and practice their lessons with a passion that lacks in the former ones.
The richest man in India, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, did not need an MBA degree to teach him business and when he realized this fact, he dropped out of his B-school to join the business. Practical training always supersedes classroom theories, which was exactly what was proved by Mr. Mukesh Ambani.
Thus, it is important to stay motivated in life and grab the opportunities that come by. It would be wrong to say that schools and colleges are redundant in shaping one`s future. The correct way to put it is that schools and colleges are not the only reason for success. Passion, motivation and practice are the key ingredients to grow in life. Stay focused on your goal and put your best foot forward to achieve it, come what may!
