Many people think that science and religion are opposed to each other. But this is not a fact.
Science believes in reason, research, transparency, observation, experimentation, test, analysis, synthesis, and the like.
Religion believes in faith, intuition, sacrifice, and spiritual courage.
From this, it appears that the two can never meet. But actually, they meet and that is the paradox.
Both science and religion have noble aims. They believe in human welfare. Only their routes are different.
Science while rejecting blind faith and such things ultimately arrives at a point where it cannot answer questions. For example, science cannot exactly explain, at least not so far, the time and method of creation, and even importantly the purpose of this creation and human life. There is something teleological in the fact why animals and birds have eyes and why there is light, the creator of which two factors seem to be the same. The birds have been given wings only because there is a sky for them to fly.
These and other such contemplations as cannot be answered properly should not be given much importance.
The main important point is that science has given us so many facilities and luxuries which need not be counted here. It has given us leisure which can enable us to contemplate God or follow any religious practices we desire.
Science causes stress and strain in our minds while religion tends to relax our nerves. If both of them are worked and follow lowed in tandem, we can achieve the wholeness of life.
