Yesterday, we 4 friends went for a picnic. We went to the canal early in the morning. We spread a mat under a shady tree and had breakfast. We played chess for some time. Soon it became hot. We took off our clothes and dived into the water. We swam for about an hour. The cool water of the canal thrilled us. Soon, it was lunchtime. We came out of the canal and dried ourselves. We put on our clothes. After having lunch, we took a rest under a cool shady tree. We packed our bags in the evening to back home. We had an exciting trip.

Picnic means enjoyment in the lap of nature, free from all the hurries and worries of life. It is an occasion to indulge in fun and frolic. Last Sunday, all the members of our family decided to visit Neelon Bridge. A cool breeze was blowing. We enjoyed the drive very much. There was a great rush at the Bridge. We camped under a grove of trees. Some boys were enjoying swimming. Others were only taking baths in the canal. Some couples were enjoying boating. We played cards. My sister entertained us with songs. My brother narrated titbits. I prepared tea which was enjoyed by all of us. Then, we took our lunch. The food tasted very delicious. A group of children gave a dancing performance. She attracted everyone. In the evening, we packed and returned. I wish I could enjoy such a picnic again and again.

Teachers ensured everyone stayed safe while having the best time. A school picnic is truly a day to cherish. Everyone returned to school happy and tired with memories of the day spent in the zoo. It is the best day with school friends and teachers.
