The Rage in Today’s World – iPhone
In today’s day and age, almost everything is bought for one sole purpose in mind – show off! People today buy things less for their happiness and more as a symbol of their social/financial status. One such materialistic item that has become all the rage and a matter of status today irrespective of age, gender and geographical location is the iPhone.
Besides being a mode of communication, people use it as an item they carry around to throw their weight on others. It is indisputable that technologically speaking, it is an excellent gadget to have in your possession but not if it is bought for the wrong reasons! It is bought today because of the widespread misconception that if you have an iPhone, you have the world in the palm of your hands. But it is just that – a misconception!
Talking about myself, I do own an iPhone but what it does for me is it mainly makes my life easy. It is just a piece of materialistic thing that helps me connect with people near and far and helps me finish my work (which happens primarily online) with ease.
Irrespective of the benefits of owning an iPhone, it significantly influences people today so far as it determines their behavioural patterns and how they react to a certain person or thing around them. Nevertheless, we cannot generalize and say that everybody with an iPhone behaves in the same way because that’s not true!
