We all need salt. We use it with our food. It adds taste to our food. We get salt from seawater and rocks in the mines. Before we use it salt is refined. Sea-water is boiled or dried up in the sun. When boiled or dried, the water goes up as vapour and the only salt remains. This salt is refined and made fit for use. It is white. Rock salt is obtained from salt mines and salt rocks. It is reddish in colour. This salt is used only occasionally.
Salt is very useful to us. We cannot do without it. It does not only add taste to our food, it helps digestion. It purifies our blood. It is very much necessary for our health.
