One of the most obnoxious things that one can come across in life is smoking.
Tobacco contains nicotine, which is a kind of poison. When a person smokes a cigarette or a bird, he actually infuses the poisonous nicotine into his lungs which will certainly produce its detrimental effect sooner or later.
Even passive smoking is dangerous. When a person smokes, some of the fumes of tobacco-containing pernicious nicotine get inhaled by the person who actually is not smoking. This is called passive smoking. Thus, a smoker’s children are also always in danger of falling a victim to one or the other lung or throat ailment.
A smoker can suffer from lung infection resulting in asthma, bronchitis, and even lung cancer. This is particularly the case with the so-called “chain-smokers”.
Smoking is a bad habit and once it is formed, like all bad habits, it can’t be got rid of easily.
So, the best thing is that such a bad habit should not be started at all. If, however, a person has started it somehow, he should consult some expert medical advisor to get rid of it at the earliest.
It is a pity that not only boys but also girls and not only the old or the middle-aged but also the young people fall prey to it.
We should be thankful to the Supreme Court that has banned smoking at all public places, in educational institutions, offices, hospitals, etc.
