Short Essay on A Busy Street in 250 words
The street I live in is a strange conglomeration of houses, shops, and vendors’ stalls.
It is a broad, long, busy street. There are about thirty homes on either side. Almost everybody has used a part of the front area of the house for commercial purchases.
In this street, you can come across all kinds of items that may be available only in a multipurpose shopping complex.
Here, you can get fruits, vegetables, sweets, tea, coffee, samosas, cold drinks, textiles shoes, leather purses and bags, tents, crockery, ice-creams, fruit juices, tyres for bicycles, cars and even trucks, etc.
Not only this, there are a number of boutiques, beauty parlors, PCO’s, academies, tailoring shops, cobblers’ shops etc.
The result of all this shopping mania is that the street is busy day and night. There is a great hustle and bustle of cars, scooters, bicycles, hand carts, rickshaws, autorickshaws, cabs, and sometimes even matadors, jeeps, and trucks.
There is a great noise in this street. The vendors are crying till late at night for their wares. The people are eating at eateries and small restaurants till midnight.
The horns of the vehicles add to this noise pollution. The coolies do not lag behind. They loathe those who block their; way, as they have to move quickly With heavy loads on their heads.
Among the banes of such a busy street are the paucity of space for children to play and noise pollution.
