They say, “Actions speak louder than words.” I strongly believe this statement as I believe that a thousand words sometimes can not explain what a simple gesture can.
Different gestures by people during a conversation play a very important role to define the behavior or the true meaning behind the whole presentation. So if the actions of these gestures are not in tune with what we are saying, then the whole thing is rather confusing. Sometimes, people end up with deceptive explanations resulting in unexpected things. That is one of the main reasons behind actions being more important than what we say or mean.
Knowing or just saying things is not enough unless our actions go along with what and how we are saying them. People try meaning things over and over again. But if their actions are still the same, the output becomes meaningless. It is not about how many times we tell someone we will do something. All that matters is what we actually do and prove the truth.
As an example, let’s say a person is presenting something on a stage and he is trying to explain the facts about it. But with a gloom of blue on his/her face, that person is doing nobody a favor. A right mind set with a right body language can lead to a perfect conversation. Nobody wants to hear just mechanical words coming out of a mouth. In the past, words meant a lot and even acted as strong motivational factors for many things that have happened over the historical times. But now, a thousand motivational or inspirational sayings don’t pull up the throttle if the right approach is not applied to our actions.
To conclude, actions do speak louder than words. Thus, we should believe what we see and forget what we hear. If we characterize people by their actions, we will never be fooled by their words.
