Last week we played a cricket match with S.D School. We played this match in S.D School’s playground. It was a huge ground. We reached S.D School in time. Both the teams were in their respective uniforms.
The captains of the teams went in for the toss. The coin was tossed. Our captain won the toss. We decided to field first. After a few minutes, the game started.
Our team took the position in the field. Openers of the S.D team came to open the innings. Rajiv was given the first over. The openers opened their innings with a smashing boundary. On the second ball, they scored three runs. It seemed as they would smash our bowling away. But on the fifth ball of the first over, one wicket was taken by Rajiv. There was happiness in our camp. Soon the second wicket fell. But the S.D team scored 100 runs for the third wicket partnership.
Our bowling was very good fielding was very tight. Our fielders did not allow any extra runs by the S.D team. There were four run-outs. After forty overs final score of the S.D team was 205 runs.
Then there was tea break for half an hour our team had to chase a target of 206 runs for victory.
Our-openers gave a good start to our team. The bowlers of S.D tried everything. They could not break the partnership. Our openers collected 155 runs for the first wicket partnership. Then it was not difficult for the rest of the players to score the required runs. In 33 overs only our team scored 210 runs at 4 wickets. We won this match by 6 wickets. There were celebrations in Our camp. The opener of our team Ranvir Singh was declared man of the match.
