It is inevitable that as technology develops so traditional cultures must be lost. Technology and tradition are incompatible – you cannot have both together.

Sample Answer-
One of the most common debates of current times is the impact of technological advances on the values and beliefs of people. However, there are two sides of the coin. On the one hand, rapid technological advancements have brought about a cure to many previously existing problems. On the contrary, it has lead to a change in the belief and value system of people. But the questions remains if this is the sole reason for the change.
To some extent, it is true that people lose themselves in the rat race to become more successful in their careers and own all the worldly possessions. In the process, it is possible to forget the meaning of true happiness and inner peace. Moreover, when it comes to social life, people are more engrossed with social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on rather than having a real conversation with their family, friends, and neighbor over a cup of tea.
To take an example, before the technological boom, children used to play outdoors and socializing with friends and family. Now, most of the kids have a video game and mobile phone in their hands. In this way, they have lost sight of the values and beliefs that the older generation had while growing up.
To conclude, it can be said that technological developments have brought about many changes in the values and belief system. But it would be wrong to discard the benefits of these advancements altogether. It would be more appropriate for every individual to be more aware of themselves and their actions so that they can use technology for their upliftment instead of their downfall.
