The Magnetic Power of Pictures over Words to Catch the Attention of People toward News Stories showcased on T.V. and Newspapers. It is a proven fact that a motion or a still picture can leave a permanent mark on the minds of humans rather than mere words. Images include the description of events which have taken place which is difficult to be grasped entirely by way of just words. Human interaction and languages have evolved a lot to a point where people can understand and process information by the words and body gestures of others. But written words, still, lead to miscommunication which is a significant barrier to an adequate understanding of each other’s point of view.

It is true that “a single picture can speak a thousand words.” This statement is backed by research, i.e., a person can retain news stories and other information for a longer time with the help of a picture rather than just a page flooding with words. Our brain is designed in a way which makes it easier for us to contemplate real events from a picture. But it’s hard for our mind to make a list of occurrences just out of words. It is also factual that a language barrier and a gap can be removed by way of pictures. People who can’t understand a particular language will not be able to comprehend the news. Therefore, it becomes all the more necessary to post news along with the images.

Social media is a perfect real life example which showcases the power of still and motion pictures. People around the globe are very active on social media platforms and look out for the latest news and events from around the world as it offers pictures with the literature of the news stories.

Therefore, one cannot deny the impact of images on the minds of humans and as a result, should be more advertised to keep people updated and aware of the news occurring around in the society.
