As people live longer and longer, the idea of cloning human beings in order to provide spare parts is becoming a reality. The idea horrifies most people, yet it is no longer mere science fiction.To what extent do you agree with it?
Advancement in medical science and technology is progressing at a very high rate. We are experimenting with things which seemed impossible some time ago, one of such is cloning. Cloning of animals is a phenomenon which has been done for years and has proved to be a useful one. It has also opened the doors to the possibility of human cloning. Human cloning will affect us all in many ways, the question is to what extent it will affect and replace the material things alongside?
We are facing a serious issue of the shortage in organ donors and many people have been the victim of this scarcity and lost their lives due to it. Many attempts have been made to generate awareness among people to donate their organs for the ones in needs but results are not satisfactory. Human cloning is the perfect solution to this. By cloning, we can harvest the organs of the clone, later on, save the lives of the ones in need.
The other application is a possibility as an alternative form of reproduction. It will significantly help those couples who are infertile and same sex couples who wish to have their kids of their own genetic lineage. Moving on to the far-fetched possibilities which are raising their loved ones back from the dead with the same genetics and also could alter their genes to obtain some extra ordinary skills. Now this will not only impact the person and its clone but also the whole world as to what these clones will do. It can go either way they can develop the world or even destroy with their limitless power.
There is also a possibility of illegal cloning where we will find people with mistaken identities running all around and people using it to fulfill their own selfish purposes. To conclude, introducing human cloning to the world is way too risky as the consequences can be very dire.
